Connecting with the Communities We Serve
One of our goals is to connect with people in the community and help them connect with one another. When we feel less isolated, we are more likely to have better overall health. NAMI also enjoys collaborating with organizations to help break stigma around mental illness, empower others to tell their stories and help people better understand and manage situations with individuals living with mental illness.

April is Occupational Therapy Month so we're proud to highlight our collaboration with the University of Scranton's OT Department. Grad student Kathleen O. Appau shares her thoughts on the value of mental health training in her courses.

We value our many relationships with organizations within the area we serve. Below are some photos highlighting some of those treasured partnerships, including pictures from last summer when we launched our Walk-and-Talk series to bring people together in green spaces to connect with nature and one another.
